Marset Vetra Suspension Lamp

At first glance, Vetra may be nothing more than a traditional old-fashioned blown glass lamp, but turning it on is a surprise. Joan Gaspar uses a fully enclosed glass diffuser as a reflector and creatively places the light source outside, rather than inside, the shadow. The Vetra emits more light than one would expect, without glare. Much of the light is directed downwards and the rest is filtered into the shadow, subtly illuminating it. Like an echo that multiplies the light, when it is on, its entire outline is drawn and seems to come to life.
